5:19p I think I do this about once a year to you guys
Okay so
Will you please read this post and consider?
I'm doing a quick survey for a final paper in my Jesus the Christ class, and I need as much input as possible. Will you please take the time to fill out the following questions, and comment with the answers? Remember, this is based on your own learnings and beliefs.
Family Religion/Denomination: Personal Claimed Religion/Denomination: Age:
What made Jesus special?:
Was Jesus a Jew?:
Was Jesus human, divine (as in, godly), or both? If both, how much so of each?:
Was Jesus always aware he was the Messiah?:
Did Jesus sin?:
Does God suffer?:
What do you know about the Council of Nicea and Chalcedon?:
Which do you think applies more to how you live your life- believing the right thing, or doing the right thing?:
Anything else about Jesus you feel is pertinent to mention:
When answering the questions, please don't look anything up. :( Answers are screened, if you don't mind your answers being unscreened, please say so in the title of your comment!
I might add questions, if I see a need for it- in that case, feel free to tack it on to your original answer, if you notice it! :D
THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE! I know I know hitting up my flist for JAESUS.
EDIT: I GROSSLY MISTATED ONE OF THE QUESTIONS! "Was Jesus always aware he was the Son of God?" should have been "Was Jesus always aware he was the Messiah?". It's fixed, if you want to re-answer it.

I got my shoes today. They need to be broken in a bit, but they seem to fit pretty well. And they were $15, so I'm not complaining. Now just waiting on my boots. I'm going to be really sad if they don't fit, because they're the only boots I could find that were less than $100 and not ugly. Seriously, I am hating on the current styles for women's boots. All of the heels and the ankle buckles, what the crap IS that stuff? I don't know what I'm going to do if I have to send them back. At least it's free shipping both ways. But I really hope they fit because I don't want to have to buy something that I hate.
Also went to Ross today with Amber. I got socks (because I only had ONE PAIR), a cute maternity shirt that I just couldn't resist buying (even though it's black and I really shouldn't be allowed to buy black shirts anymore because they're all I ever buy), a sweater (much needed), and a REALLY NICE knee-length black wool coat that was only $25. It buttons in the front and ties at the waist, so it will still be really cute when my belly starts getting bigger. And it's nice and heavy and WARM. :D
I also did a really bad thing today (shhh don't tell). Amber and I went to Starbucks because we wanted hot chocolate and I ended up ordering a peppermint white chocolate mocha instead. It was literally the third cup of coffee I've had in THREE YEARS, but yeah, I still shouldn't have had it. And boy am I feeling it! Crazy how sensitive I am to caffeine. But it was soooo goooooood. If I could go back in time three hours I would order it all over again.
We've all been feeling sickish lately, which sucks, but I think that's over now. It was pretty much just a cold - sneezing, runny noses, etc. Hopefully by Sunday we're feeling well enough to walk to church. I actually miss going to church. I'm hoping there will be more younger families in our new ward than back in Sedro. Sedro was like, the grandparents' ward. It sucked.
Xander is still adorable. He's running around an wreaking havoc as usual. He's also starting to learn a bunch of words. He say hi, bye, dog, cat, duck, cheese, light, that, no, and of course, mama, dada, and boob. And probably a bunch more that I can't remember right now. He's also been trying to say "butterfly" which is SO CUTE. Amber was reading him a book that had a picture of a butterfly in it, and he kept pointing to it, so she tried to teach him how to say "butterfly" and it kind of comes out "uhh-luh-ly" ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE.
I can't believe how small he is, though. He's STILL wearing mostly 9 month clothes (pants and shirts and stuff anyway, 9 month onesies and sleepers are too small). It's kind of funny seeing all of the stuff he can do when he's still so small. It almost seems like he shouldn't be doing half of what he's doing. I like that he's small, though. Easier on my back!!

I HAVE A CLEAN FLOOR!!!
Ah man, it feels SO good. I was seriously about to scream from walking on crumbs all day. I even tried to sweep the carpet a few times, but that just doesn't work.
We also got a bunch of other stuff we've been needing. Socks, diapers (my cloth diapers have been giving Xander ammonia burn, so we're back to disposables until I can figure out how to get them clean D:), wipes, a couple warm things for Xander, ice cube trays, and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff like tissues, paper towels, etc. And we got Konan a wireless mouse and keyboard. We don't have room for a desk anywhere, so we're just using the TV as his monitor, and it's been such a pain having keyboard/mouse cables strung across the living room. Oh, and I got myself some more waxing supplies. So those were our splurges. We stayed under $300, though, which was the goal. I'm probably going to take the little bit that's leftover and see about getting myself a couple new shirts, and we'll order those shoes, and then we should be set as far as necessities go. If we wanted, we'd probably have enough to pay rent, too. I don't know, though. I think I'd rather stick whatever is left in savings for now just in case something comes up.
I'm actually feeling pretty good right now. I feel like we've been underwater for a while, and our heads are juuust breaking the surface. As long as we can keep our expenses down, things might actually start to turn around for us, to where we can actually have a savings account.

5:22p Some good news at last.
We have food stamps now. Only $180 per month, which is a far cry from the $550 we were getting before, but it will definitely help. Though I do have to wonder why we got $550 when Konan was making $10/hour, and so much less now when he's making $9.25. The cost of living isn't THAT different between here and Washington. Oh well. I'm not about to complain. I can feed us on around $200 per month. Just have to go back to basics. :P
The other nice thing is that Konan has been working extra hours pretty much whenever he can, so his paycheck tomorrow looks like it's going to be about $850. We need to pull out a couple hundred for rent so we're not stuck paying it all out of the next paycheck, but that will still leave us with enough to get some of the things we need. Here's the list so far:
Vacuum cleaner. Ours broke when we were cleaning our old apartment. So our new apartment hasn't been vacuumed at all since we moved in and there are TEDDY GRAHAMS EVERYWHERE.
Warm clothes. I swear, I thought I was pretty much immune to the cold, but it is COLD here. I have never really needed a winter coat before, but I sure do need one now. I'm afraid to take Xander outside now because I'm worried he'll freeze his little tushy off.
Socks. I've lost all of mine and Xander's somehow and most of Konan's have holes in them.
A new nursing bra. I've been wearing the same one every day for over a year now. I'm amazed it hasn't fallen apart.
And... SHOES! I actually found a couple on 6pm that are really cute, on sale, and might actually fit me! If they're still there in the morning, I'm going to order these, and maybe these, although I'm not sure about the second pair. I probably should, because as of right now I have absolutely nothing that I can wear to church without feeling embarassed. Dingy, paper-thin 3 year old foam flip-flops, anyone? Yeah. The brown pair is still a little casual, but they'd be a huge step up for me. They'd keep my feet warmer, too.
Who knows, we might even have a teeny bit leftover when we're done buying all of the necessities. I might even be able to get some new shirts. I only have like, 3 that I can wear right now.
I really want to get a Christmas tree, too, but I don't think that's going to happen. Even if we could afford it, I don't know where on earth we'd put it. :(
But, I'm going to count my blessings and be thankful for the things we DO have. Or at least I'm going to try.
